Darren Mancini hails from Vancouver, Canada, the Amsterdam of North America.

Darren’s life is nothing but ironic. He is the son of a carpenter but allergic to wood. Born and raised in Vancouver but is allergic to Marijuana. Also, he is dyslexic and a writer. As one can appreciate, he does things a little bit different.

For example, Darren already had a career in film before going to Film School. He started working in the Construction Department and then to Special Effects before enrolling in the Vancouver Film School’s Foundation film program. Where he earned a 30K Attendance record/certificate and had several arguments with directors who couldn’t read time code. But He did discover his love for screen writing. Trying to say the most while writing the least was an attractive challenge to Darren. After completing film school Darren when straight back to work but 15-hour days of making it rain in Vancouver was just too much irony for him to stomach. Darren then left the industry to take a “day job” so he could focus his attention on screenwriting, hand-scribing his first feature-length screenplay during any available time off. That script was probably the toughest assignment any writer, new or experienced, could take on. A WWI period piece that takes place at sea entitled RUM RUNNERS. His second screenplay turned out to be an even greater challenge. BATTLEFIELD EDEN is an Old Testament inspired Thriller where Satan and the rest of the Fallen Angles go to war to save Humanity.
